If you love movies, join a discriminating group of cinephiles to share brunch, conversation, critique, and an advance screening of the latest offering from a roster of prominent independent, foreign, and up-and-coming filmmakers. Please note the new starting times this season:
10:00am Brunch and conversation
The aroma of piping-hot, fresh-brewed coffee welcomes you to the Naro Expanded Cinema, where an assortment of Yorgo’s bagels and spreads along with fresh doughnuts and orange juice await you.--all included as part of your Film Forum membership. (All other concession items will of course be available for purchase).
10:30am Introduction and Screening
Find your favorite seat to settle into and Forum host Bill Jones will offer brief introductory remarks.
Immediately following the screening
The spark for post-screening discussion will be provided by the “Voice of the Forum,” host Bill Jones. Share your own opinion as Bill takes questions and comments from the audience. Survey cards will be passed out for your written comments and movie rating.

The titles of each program will not be announced in advance. There are real "Sneak Previews", and you won't know what you'll be seeing until you arrive. Many of these films will have regular engagements at the NARO, but you will be the first in Hampton Roads to see them. Unburdened by press reviews or media hype- You're the film critic!

Bill Jones, PhD, is a Professor of Political Sciences at Virginia Wesleyan College, where he teaches courses on Politics and Film. He has co-directed the Political Perspectives Film Series at VWC for over twenty years. Bill is guest commentator on film for WHRV-FM's "HearSay" show with Cathy Lewis. He is currently completing a book on American television in the 1950's
